A large life insurer recently released statistics showing the main conditions that have led to an income protection insurance policy claim. The main conditions and the percentages of claims from those conditions are shown below :
- Accident 16%
- Musculoskeletal 8%
- Mental Health 8%
- Cancer 6%
- Cardio-vascular 2%
- All other conditions 60%
